Welcome to your therapy journey.

Meet Chelsea

Welcome! I’m a therapist who is licensed in the states of Florida, Maryland & Virginia. I have a passion and speciality for working with the perinatal period (preconception to postpartum). This includes postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, infertility, birth trauma, and loss. In addition to those populations, I have over 12 years of experience working with specializations such as major life transitions, anxiety, adult adhd, depression and complex trauma. I strive to provide therapy through a trauma-informed lens and integrate movement/breathwork in my practice to facilitate your overall wellbeing. Therapy is a collaborative effort and I will work alongside you to make sure your goals are met in a way that feels authentic to your process.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Therapy

Therapy during the perinatal period helps to offer you a supportive space to navigate the often complex emotional and psychological changes that come with motherhood. Therapy can help you take steps to address pregnancy complications, discomfort, and prepare for birth. In addition I work to help you feel supported for when baby arrives, navigate postpartum challenges, provide emotional support, and implement coping strategies in a safe and meaningful way. Therapy in this time frame is a tool for managing stress and helping fostering a transition into motherhood that leaves you feeling confident and enhances your overall well-being.

A holistic therapy approach

It is essential for me to get a full picture of who you are and what is important to you in the therapeutic process. I operate from a holistic perspective meaning I take into account the whole person and your individual beliefs and needs. Your needs are unique to you as a person. For me it is important to learn about your background, early childhood experiences, day to day life, nutrition, and support system in addition to what brought you to your therapy journey in the first place. I am a certified trauma professional and completed advanced training in trauma treatment through the Ferentz Institute. I also have completed a Trauma Informed Yoga training for my RYT 240 and enjoy utilizing these skills in sessions when appropriate.

We have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this free tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services. I will submit claims on your behalf!
